Dr. Queck opened The Carolinas Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in 1993. A graduate of Iowa State University, she has performed advanced dental procedures on pets since 1986. In 1993, she became a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry of which there are less than 100 members worldwide. She regularly speaks to veterinarians and animal affiliated groups in the Carolinas. She also presents scientific papers, conducts teaching laboratories, and provides continuing education for veterinary staff. Dr. Queck enjoys outdoor activities especially when they include her family & pets.
A native of New York, Dr. Kristin Scott received her Biology degree from Cornell University and her Veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Scott spent the next 13 years at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, a premier, multi-specialty referral hospital in New Jersey. She completed her residency in Veterinary Dentistry through the University of Pennsylvania while still working at Red Bank, and in 2015 became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College.
Having just relocated to Charlotte, Dr. Scott and her family are already enjoying the warm weather, friendly people and wonderful family environment of Charlotte. Dr. Scott is passionate about veterinary dentistry, teaching, and improving the health of her patients. When she isn’t caring for patients, she loves spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and singing in her band, The Docs of Rock.
Sandy has worked in multiple capacities within the veterinary field since 2002. She received a degree in Veterinary Technology from Florida’s St. Petersburg College in 2007 followed by a year-long technician Internship at the esteemed Animal Medical Center in NYC in 2008. Sandy attained certification as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in the category of Clinical Practice-Small Animals in 2016 and is also certified in cardiac ultrasonography through Oncura Partners, Inc. When not focused on the business aspects of our facilities, Sandy likes to share her experiences and knowledge with our technical staff and veterinary community through lectures on the topics of anesthesia and pain management. She is a member of the Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Clinical Practice, The Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society, The International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, and the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. When not learning something new and exciting taking place in the field of veterinary medicine, Sandy likes to write short stories, go backpacking, kayaking, and dabble in gourmet mushroom cultivation.
Suzanne has been working in the veterinary field since she was in high school. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2005 from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She has worked in various aspect of veterinary medicine, including general practice, emergency, neurology and dermatology, before finding her true calling in dentistry. Suzanne has instructed in many practices on the east coast and on a national level. She has worked in veterinary dentistry for over 5 years and is currently in the process of obtaining her technician specialty in dentistry. She lives in Matthews, NC with her husband, David and her cat, Cookie Monster.
